POSITION SENSORS

Position sensors are devices designed to detect the position or movement of mechanical components and convert this information into an electrical signal for control and monitoring systems. Used in a wide range of industrial, mobile and automotive applications, they enable the monitoring of the operating status of actuators, cylinders, moving components and control devices.

Position sensors operate by using the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet to actuate a reed switch integrated within the device. The movement of the mechanical component causes the electrical contact to change state, enabling accurate detection of position or the attainment of a predefined movement threshold.

This technology combines simple construction, high reliability and operation without the need for an auxiliary power supply, making it particularly suitable for industrial, mobile and automotive applications.
